If you are visiting the Bay Area, come prepared for the weather and for hills. San Francisco is known for its microclimates, which means it can be warm and sunny in one place and cold and foggy just across the street. In the afternoon the sea breeze picks up and becomes quite strong. It rains in the winter and is generally cool in the summer. Our nicest weather is in the spring and fall.
Current San Francisco Weather
If you run in San Francisco, you learn to love the hills — there is just no other way around it. The route that follows is relatively flat (by our standards). Don't fear the hills, though. At the top you will be rewarded with some of the most stunning vistas you will ever see.
From Downtown San Francisco:
For visitors to the City who are staying in the downtown area, near Union Square, we offer 3, 5, or 10+ mile routes.
